Advert for patient representative for British Society for the Study of Vulval Diseases (BSSVD).
If someone you know is interested please pass on this advert as you see appropriate.
The BSSVD acknowledges the distress of women with vulval conditions and in response to this seeks to be their advocate and to provide the evidence base to establish the highest standard of care and inform clinical practice.
The Council of the British Society for the Study of Vulval Diseases is looking for a patient representative on the Council, who has personal experience of vulval disease as a patient.
The representative should show an understanding of patient perspectives, with an ability to raise a broader range of perspectives beyond their own personal experience.
Other required attributes are good communication skills with an ability to listen to others and to work effectively and constructively as part of a team within a mixed group of patients and professionals.
The BSSVD welcomes new members. Membership is open to any health professionals with an interest in vulval disease. Junior membership is open to health professionals in training.
Members of the British Society For The Study of Vulval Diseases receive numerous benefits and have the opportunity to demonstrate their commitment and support to the education and research in vulval diseases. Be part of the progressing BSSVD and have a say in the direction of travel. There is a lower rate membership fee for junior doctors and non-medical health professionals
